The reason why I am suggesting 10lbs is because you will notice a 10lb weight loss and so will everyone else. I believe that amounts to a drop in dress size and 2 inches off your waist. A 10lb weight loss will also improve your health – mood, blood pressure, blood sugar, heart disease risk and energy levels.

Collectively, a reduction in overall food intake, particularly processed foods and meat, reduces carbon emissions and protects the ozone layer of our precious planet. In addition, a reduction in weight will reduce medical and pharmaceutical costs if disease can be prevented. Your weight loss will help preserve the hospitals for patients who are suffering from conditions that are not preventable. How great is that?!

Why have I limited the challenge to just 10lbs? Well, if weight loss was easy, you would not need to lose any weight. We spend a lot of time focusing on all the weight that we have to lose and end up never losing that first 10lbs because the task seems too big. The Arc Plan Lifestyle is about focusing on what you can change immediately. It is about commitment to realistic and effective changes to your current habits. The Arc Plan challenges behaviour patterns that are contrary to good health and introduces you to a whole new you.

It would be nice to get as many friends and relatives to join you. We will start on the 1st of April for 10 weeks. I will post instructions as we approach the start date.  Let’s make the planet more healthy in 2010.
