My name is Uzoma Fenner. I am married with 3 children and I own The Arc House Weight Loss Spa Retreat in France. Set in an idyllic peaceful village , The Arc House is not only a beautiful spot for a memorable vacation, it is a great place to reflect on the things that really matter to you and, with my help , you can begin the important task of making lifestyle changes to improve your health and well-being. The Arc House was lucky enough to win ’best boutique spa’ award for 2009; thanks to the kind votes by all of our satisfied customers.
There are several reasons why a stay at The Arc House is a must if you need to re-charge life’s batteries, lose weight or address any disordered eating habits. I selected the location after many trips to France . I wanted a picturesque and historic venue to allow you to feel harmony with nature and progression. I wanted you to feel relaxed but connected to important aspects of modern life. I wanted you to feel safe but not isolated, and I wanted you to be able to achieve results in lifestyle changes.
When you come to The Arc House, you will be visiting a beautiful and relatively unspoiled region of France famous for its sunflowers, pigeonaires, and wine. Discover buildings dating back to the 9th century and winding country lanes flanked by rolling green hills and the gently flowing rivers which service this fertile area of the country. This region of France was home to many famous philosophers such as Montesquieu and Montaigne and to artists such as Toulouse Lautrec and Ingres. Famous towns and cities such as Bordeaux, Carcassonne, Toulouse, Lourdes, and Albi are close by for days out. More locally, there are farmers’ and artisan markets to find unique and memorable treats.
The Arc House itself is set in an 18th century former priory with many of its original features still intact. The rooms are large and air conditioned and wi-fi is freely accessible. We have a variety of spa treatments available to help reduce stress as well as a hammam, sauna, and balnéotherapy tub. The Arc House is NOT a clinic but the approach is very structured and meals are at set times. Daily walks, stretch sessions, strength training classes and nutrition coaching/counselling sessions are organised in small groups of 2-3, or are on an individual basis. I prefer to work in this way as I find that you get the personal attention that you need to produce the best results. Both my husband and myself are fitness trainers. My husband also cooks the meals which are portion controlled and nutritionally balanced. I counsel clients on their misuse of food and explore solution options.
I am a British Nutrition & Fitness Counsellor. I worked in the UK for many years in the NHS, and for a major Food Company. I have always been interested in lifestyle and behaviour. I worked as director of Nutrition & Dietetic services in a large London teaching hospital where I specialised in Women’s Health. I was also the senior lead dietitian for an Eating Disorders unit in South East England. Opening up The Arc House allowed me the opportunity to develop and offer The Arc Plan Lifestyle, a holistic approach using nature as an inspiration. I have added a telephone support service for new and existing clients around the world. This blog is an additional support for individuals to use as a resource for networking and to share experiences and advice . I hope to provide a safe forum for honest discussions about lifestyle issues- weight, exercise, diet, stress, etc.

I was curious to see how it is possible, without losing weigh these fancy schemes. I was not disappointed. I eat more than before, but better, I found many tips for my life, I think I do not feel hungry or deprived. I lost 13 pounds in less than a month, I feel good and want to go further. I am so happy, is really useful.
